MALAYSIA. In conjunction with its tenth anniversary celebrations, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has launched an ambitious series of shopping contests as part of the KLIA Shopping Campaign.

The campaign, inaugurated by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) Chairman Y. Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr Aris Othman, aims to reward shoppers with a 'magical experience' and fabulous prizes.

According to the airport company, this fifth installation of the KLIA Shopping Campaign stands out from its predecessors due to its ,longchamp bag?Contests within an Ultimate Contest? concept that offers more rewards than ever before.

Through three shopping contests within the ?Ultimate Contest?, RM2.7 million (US$781,933) worth of prizes will be given away to shoppers at KLIA and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT-KLIA).

The total amount in cash and prizes for this year?s shopping campaign more than doubles the RM1.1 million worth of prizes last year.

Malaysia Airports General Manager of Commercial Services Tuan Hj Umar Bustamam said: ?The Campaign for 2008/2009 features three Shopping Contests instead of the usual one contest only, longchamp bag. And overall, the activities and excitement have been elaborated to extend to ten months, starting 26 August and ending by June 2009.?

A different shopping contest will take place every 12 weeks during the campaign. Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM250 (US$72.40) at KLIA or LCCT-KLIA will be rewarded with an instant gift. A higher spend of RM500 (US$144.80) will qualify them for the grand prize of each contest. Weekly prizes will also be given away, with each of the three shopping contests offering different prizes.

Bustamam added: ?Each of the three Shopping Contests has its own attractions and offers different prizes. The first Shopping Contest is aptly themed Magic 10 Celebration in conjunction with KLIA?s 10th Anniversary. It will reward shoppers with cash prizes, louboutin shoes, with the Grand Prize being RM 50,000 (US$14,486) cash.

"There will also be 36 weekly winners in this first contest and each will walk away with RM 5,000 (US$1,449) cash. We believe such rewards will contribute towards the thrill of shopping at KLIA or LCCT-KLIA in addition to the satisfaction derived from knowing that the shopping is at attractive prices as assured under the airport?s Low Price Guarantee policy.?

The subsequent two shopping contests will reward shoppers with holiday packages as well as cash and holiday combinations.

Bustamam continued: ?All entries from the Magic 10 Celebration, Shopping Contest 2 and 3 will be accumulated into the Ultimate Shopping Contest in which the Grand Prize is a RM420,000.00 (US$121,ghd straighteners,742) Lexus GS300. Designed with rewarding shoppers as the main objective, the KLIA Shopping Campaign does not limit the winning chances of shoppers ? weekly and monthly winners will also stand a chance at winning the Ultimate Grand Prize of the luxury car.?

The official sponsors of the KLIA Shopping Campaign 2008/2009 are MasterCard Worldwide and UMW Toyota.

Besides the shopping contests KLIA will also be hosting a myriad of activities, including cultural performances from Asian and other countries, exhibitions, festive promotions, Ramadhan specialities and a bazaar, ghd straighteners.

CREATING A SHOPPING AND DINING HUB

Malaysia Airports said that its efforts in providing passengers and visitors the best of KLIA and ultimately Malaysia through the shopping campaign supports the government?s efforts to turn the airport into a shopping and dining hub in the region.

As earlier this year, Malaysia Airports is transforming KLIA through a 14-month Satellite Retail Optimization Project (SROP) to provide passengers with an open concept retailing environment with increased facilities catering to the comfort and convenience of travellers.

The first of four phases of the SROP started in May 2008. The transformation aims to inject more variety, colour and structure to KLIA's offerin

Is your career on the track you would like it to be? Do you have a vision and mission for your career as well as specific goals and a well thought out plan for execution? If your answer to both of these questions are no, there is definitely a correlation between the two, coach factory outlet online. To truly be empowered to define and take charge of our career, first we need to own it,gucci bags.

I believe this quote by Marva Collins says it best, “Success doesn’t come to you – you go to itâ€,beats headphones. We all define success differently, coach outlet, however, coach factory outlet, how we achieve success is dependent on our ability to own and take charge of our careers. As I like to say, it’s the difference between sitting in the driver’s seat vs. sitting in the back going along for the ride.

Three Commonalities of Successful Professionals

1. Know their value add: what they have to offer
They know their strengths, contributions, and accomplishments and they leverage them in everything they achieve. In addition, they understand how they can truly make a difference and stand apart from their colleagues, what makes them unique as a person and professional. They focus on results and outcomes and the role they played. They do this through stories – the best way to discuss value is to relay it through story telling. What was the challenge or situation, what actions did they take and what were the results? They are authentic and genuine – they are not boastful or egotistical…but matter of fact regarding how they offer value and contribute. There is a great book I suggest by Peggy Klaus as many people struggle with this piece, “Brag – the Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing Itâ€.

2. Know what they want: goal-oriented
They know exactly what they want and have a plan to achieve it. Even if they do not have all the specifics identified, they are clear on their options and a plan for how they will pursue and/or investigate each option. Goals are a priority, defining both short term expectations and long term aspirations. Annual goal setting allows them to create plans for execution as well as criteria for accountability. Without goals, we don’t have a vision for where we are going – no direction. Goals are made to be reviewed, evaluated and readjusted continuously to ensure we remain open to unexpected opportunities that may come our way. Without a plan, however, we can grow complacent and/or fall into a rut rather than having a plan with clear direction and driving that plan. Another great quote, “In absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of triviaâ€, author unknown.

3. Know how to ask for it: articulate their value and aspirations effectively
Their delivery is clear, crisp and concise. Not only do they know how to ask for it but they also know who to ask and when to ask. Keep in mind, when you truly know what you have to offer and what you want, gucci bags, you have already empowered yourself with the right tools to ask for it! Building relationships is so important in our careers and it takes years to do this well. It also requires awareness to your surroundings and to others needs and interests, coach factory online. We don’t want to be a bull in a china shop or self absorbed. There is a time and place for everything. Assessing timing and circumstances accurately is an important ingredient. Understanding how to effectively influence the key stakeholders in a way that meets mutual needs is where we want to focus our delivery. The important part to remember here is to make sure you ask! Fear, rejection, and/or risk are a few common reasons that hold many people back from asking. The worst thing, however, is to not ask and never know what you could have received and achieved, beats studio! Get comfortable advocating for yourself and embrace this concept as a requirement to successfully manage your career.

Empower yourself, take charge of your career and assure that you are in the driver’s seat and not sitting in the back just going along for the ride, chanel handbags. Own your career – know what you have to offer, what you want and ask for it!

Ask Rita…
Question: I feel I am ready for the next

Q:,coach outlet I carried on an affair with a man -- who later became my boss -- on and off for over two years. It is an extremely long story filled with unbelievable circumstances, so I will summarize the events.

This charming man has insisted to many, including myself, that he and his wife "have an agreement" that if she doesn't know, him having extramarital relationships is fine. I took this as truth, maybe because I wanted to, and have known others he has approached this way, though none that followed through. I had intended it to be a short-lived affair, and he is well-known as somewhat of a womanizer, coach factory outlet, which added to my belief in his claim. I met his wife on a number of occasions and based on things she said and allowed us to do as friends, I was pretty convinced they really did have the agreement.

When I showed no interest in "dating" him, he laid it on thick and seemed genuine; however, when I would show interest, coach factory outlet online, he would disappear completely. This became a recurring theme. If I tried to talk to him about "us," he would often lose his temper, blame things on me,chanel earrings, break me down, and claim he just wanted to be friend ... only to seduce me a short time later. He often accused me of having personal ads up and trying to "cheat" on him, which I later found out was something he had been actively doing to me.

Why did I carry on this affair? Because when he made me feel good, he made me feel like the only person in the world. It sounds pitiful, I am aware.

After two years of fighting, I finally had enough. I started encouraging him to leave me alone, be my friend, and be with his wife, coach outlet online, but he was unrelenting. He wouldn't stop hassling me about getting back together. We finally had a huge fight and he became afraid I would tell his wife, so he told her. I did not believe he told her, as he often seemed to lie, and when he recounted what he said to her, he revealed he had lied at least about the length of the affair, so who knows what else, coach outlet. I believed him after she confirmed it in an email to me and asked me to cease all contact.

Still, we kept in contact. On and off, gucci bags, we were friends, but we often talked about getting back together (mostly fueled by him). We did not engage in sex, but he would still give me little presents and often made plans with me, which one of us would cancel. Over the last six weeks, he tried to come back to me multiple times, only when I wasn't interested, and when I finally became interested, he unloaded hell on me. I told him I couldn't handle the emotional strain of his mercurial emotions and to either come back or leave me alone.

Shortly after, he contacted me under innocent pretenses as a friend, and began the begging anew, coach factory store. I was resistant, but finally believed him again and wanted him back, monster beats by dre. A few days ago, we had a short phone conversation in which he accused me of being the juggernaut in this recent scenario (though I have emails that show otherwise) and was outright cruel. He claimed to me that he now honest and wants to work on his marriage (which he has claimed several times, only to come back to me), when just a few hours before he was trying to arrange a meeting with me. I am tired of him coming back. I feel gullible and stupid for believing him so many times and have told him to leave me alone multiple times.

I am considering "helping" him to be honest by contacting his wife with texts and emails, but there are literally thousands. I don't want to hurt her, I just need him to leave me alone and I think it's unfair that he broke my heart repeatedly, cost me my job and some mutual friends, and continues to wreak havoc on my heart whenever the mood strikes him. Should I send all of our communications and alert her to the reality of the relationship, or a select few showing that he has not kept his word and has been seeking me out repeatedly?

I am not malicious. There is something wrong with him and I have come to realize she lives in a bubble of her own denial. I want to be left alone and I want him to have no avenue whatsoever to come back to me,chanel bags, be it innocent or otherwise.

Wow,chanel handbags, our New England skiing melted down faster than the Red Sox in September. Over the weekend, coach outlet online, many ski resorts closed for the season ahead of schedule. A week of 80 degrees and sunshine will do that. The last resorts standing, still skiing this week, are Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Saddleback, Loon, Waterville Valley, Jay Peak, Stowe, Sugarbush and Killington.

The common denominator among these New England ski areas: serious snowmaking and elevation. And it's not over, Boyne resorts Loon, Sunday River and Sugarloaf have vowed to make snow when cold temps permit ? likely tonight and tomorrow, chanel earrings. Saddleback is also poised to make more snow on key trails, they host Pond Skimming and the Park Shark Challenge next weekend. Bretton Woods and Wildcat may re-open next weekend.

It has been a difficult season across the country as well, chanel handbags, with late snow starts in Colorado, Utah, and California too, chanel shoes. But it was not a snowless winter. There are a few resorts that got the lion?s share and are still skiing on deep base depths. If you care (I understand if you want to forget the whole 2011-12 ski scene), here are a few big benefactors of snow.

In Oregon, Mt Bachelor, Mt Hood and Timberline received 40 inches of snow just last week, they are wide open skiing on a 14 foot base, with a season yield of 35 feet (420 inches) so far. Washington's Crystal and Stevens Pass have also been dumped on this winter.

Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole in Wyoming have received 31 and 29 feet of snow respectively this season (most of which arrived after I visited in January - funny - ha!), considerably more than Vail's 17 and Park City?s 18 feet, coach outlet.

Mammoth has 6-8 foot base depths and fresh snow, the California resort received 17 feet of snow this season, the majority of which has fallen in March. Lake Tahoe ski resorts received late season snow, after a slow start. Currently Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows - now on an interchangeable lift ticket, plus Heavenly and Kirkwood - both Vail Resorts now, are open with 70-144 inch base depths, gucci shoes.

Whistler/Blackcomb, Lake Louise and Sunshine in the Canadian Rockies had record snow years too. But Europe takes the big snow cake, coach outlet store online, St Anton and Solden in Austria received 25 feet of snow in one winter snow storm, the winter was consistently cold, they still have base depths of 12-14 feet, coach outlet. That, beats studio?s where my ski tips are pointing for spring skiing.
